The Consulting Engineers of Yukon (CEY) was founded in 1983, in Whitehorse,
to promote the business of consulting engineering in the Territory.
Originally, there were six charter members representing nearly all of the
consulting engineers in the Yukon. Now, CEY membership has increased to
a total of 21 firms, again representing nearly all of the resident
consulting engineers. This total includes 13 Members and 8 Associate
Members. Associate members are those who provide services that augment or
are related to those provided by consulting engineers.
CEY's primary mandate continues to be lobbying the various levels of
Government in the Yukon, to promote high professional standards in our
industry (through liaison with the Professional Engineers of Yukon), as well
as the use of contract documents and procedures as developed by the
Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada, of which CEY is a member
organization.
